Privacy policy

1. General Information

As Beachcamps Austria attaches great importance to data protection, we strictly adhere to the legal provisions applicable in Austria (GDPR, Telecommunications Act TKG/TMG) when using this data. We have taken technical and organizational measures to ensure that the data protection regulations are complied with both by us and by our external service providers. Various services in the field of sports and leisure activities and products can be booked, reserved and purchased via Beachcamps Austria.

2. Confidentiality of personal data

All our employees who handle personal data in the course of their work are obliged to maintain confidentiality and to handle data processing systems properly.

3. Data collection

Beachcamps Austria collects and stores any information that the user provides when registering for a service and that is transmitted to Beachcamps Austria in the course of an online booking or that the user provides in any other way, for example on site. Beachcamps Austria uses the user's personal data to the extent permitted by law and otherwise only with the user's consent. If consent is given electronically as part of an online booking via Beachcamps Austria or one of our external service providers, Beachcamps Austria will comply with the statutory information obligations and record this consent using suitable technical systems.

4. Use of personal data

We process your data as part of the fulfillment of the contract for the following purposes:

  • To make reservations and store open products.
  • For the creation of invoices.
  • To create a booking history.

If you have subscribed to our newsletter, we will process your data to send you our newsletter. You can cancel your subscription to the newsletter at any time directly via a link in the newsletter emails or by sending an email to: hallo@beachcamps.at.

5. Right to information, deletion and revocation

You can request information about your data stored or processed by us or its deletion at any time. If you withdraw your declaration of consent to data protection, your data must be deleted. Once your data has been deleted, it will no longer be available to us.

Furthermore, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority (Austrian Data Protection Authority, Wickenburggasse 8, 1080 Vienna, dsb@dsb.gv.at). 6. Data security

For reasons of data security, personal data is stored in a closed system and protected with a password.

If Beachcamps Austria becomes aware that the user's data has been systematically and seriously used unlawfully and the user is threatened with damage as a result, Beachcamps Austira will inform the user immediately.

The Beachcamps Austria website contains links to other services or websites. Beachcamps Austria is not responsible for the privacy policies and/or practices of other websites. If the user follows the link to another website, the user is solely responsible for familiarizing himself with the privacy policy of that other website. Beachcamps Austria's privacy policy is limited only to information processed by Beachcamps Austria.

Beachcamps Austria uses other processors for this data processing. We pass on your data to the following additional recipients or categories of recipients:

1. software provider for processing bookings and managing products.
2. communication tools for customer communication (newsletter program Mailchimp - see also Mailchimp privacy policy).
3. external hosting providers for data storage.
4. if you have reached our website via a Facebook or Google advertisement (see point 5 Use of cookies / website tracking).

Your data will be processed within the EU or EEA, and at least in part outside the EU or EEA. The appropriate level of protection results from an adequacy decision of the European Commission pursuant to Art. 45 GDPR.

7. Use of cookies

We use Google Analytics to analyze website usage. The resulting data is used to optimize our website and advertising measures.

Google Analytics is a web analysis service operated and provided by Google Inc (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, United States). Google processes the website usage data on our behalf and is contractually obliged to take measures to ensure the confidentiality of the processed data.

The following data is recorded during your visit to the website

  • Pages viewed
  • Orders placed
  • Your behavior on the pages (e.g. clicks, scrolling behavior and dwell time)
  • Your approximate location (country and city)
  • Your IP address (in abbreviated form, so that no clear assignment is possible)
  • Technical information such as browser, internet provider, end device and screen resolution
  • Source of origin of your visit (i.e. via which website or advertising medium you came to us)

This data is transferred to a Google server in the USA. Google complies with the data protection provisions of the “EU-US Privacy Shield” agreement.

Google Analytics stores cookies in your web browser for a period of two years since your last visit. These cookies contain a randomly generated user ID with which you can be recognized on future visits to the website.

The recorded data is stored together with the randomly generated user ID, which makes it possible to analyze pseudonymous user profiles. This user-related data is automatically deleted after 14 months. Other data remains stored in aggregated form indefinitely.

8. Declaration of consent to the data protection provisions

By ticking the box in the course of an online booking with Beachcamps Austria, the user confirms that they have read Beachcamps Austria's privacy policy. In the case of an on-site booking, the user confirms by signing the data protection provisions on site that he/she has read the data protection provisions of Beachcamps Austria.

9. External service providers

We work together with external service providers (processors), e.g. for sending newsletters, carrying out the booking process or processing payments. Sperate data processing contracts have been concluded with these service providers to ensure the protection of your personal data.
